Saudi
coalition air raid at Hayfan, Taiz
Juni 2016, Teil 1 At
11.30 pm, an illegal oil and fuel market at a roundabout at Hayfan, Taiz province, was hit
by Saudi coalition air raids. 26,
34 or even 40 people, probably civilians, among them women and children, were
killed, 15 others were wounded There
was told a lorry transporting arms for the Houthis would have been the real
target, certainly nothing
more than one of these Saudi propaganda tales.
28.6.2016 – AFP
Yemen fighting kills 80 in one day as peace talks
stall
Intensified
fighting and air strikes over the past 24 hours in Yemen have left 80 people
dead, including 37 civilians, as lengthy peace talks in Kuwait made no
headway, officials said. In the largest
death toll, jets from the pro-government Saudi-led coalition killed 34
people, including 19 civilians when they targeted Houthi rebels in the
southwestern region of Taiz, a Yemeni military
official said. The pre-dawn air
strike hit a lorry transporting weapons for the Houthis as it crossed a busy
road, a provincial official said, adding that four women were among the dead,
as well as 15 rebels. In Taiz province, a coalition warplane hit a vehicle
carrying pro-government forces "by mistake", killing four soldiers
and wounding four others, another military official said. In the south, at
least seven civilians including two children were killed in air strikes
"probably by drones" on militants which hit a nearby house in Mahfed, between the provinces of Abyan
and Shabwa in Yemen's south, a local official told
AFP. http://reliefweb.int/report/yemen/flare-yemen-violence-kills-80

Comment: See my critical remarks
on the claimed “fighters” below. Now, the total of those killed has risen
even more. It is strange that they once given figure of 15 fighters should
have stayed equal and just 9 more civilians should have died (compare to article by AP below). In this AFP report, the
story is enriched by “a lorry transporting weapons for the
Houthis” which is claimed to have been the real target. Well, who did tell
this to AFP?? There is no destroyed lorry to be seen in the photos and films of the
incident (just a pick up, which hardly could have
transported a greater lot of arms and the 15 claimed “fighters”). The story reminds
very much of the story (or one of the several stories) told by the Saudis
after the raid at the market in Mastaba in Hajjah province on March 15, with 119 people killed. The
Saudis had claimed, several cars transporting Houthi
fighters would have passed by. There are no photos of these cars as all. The same happened on February 27, when Saudi air raids hit a market in
Nehm district (Saada
province), killing about 40 people. Also in this case had been claimed,
several cars transporting Houthi fighters would have been the intended
target. There are no photos or any other proofs of hit cars full of
“fighters”. And, as in Mastaba and at Nehm, now here at Hayfan
we have the same strange thing again: If you really are working to target a
driving car, you will do it at a section of the road outside any settlement,
or do you wait until the car passes by the most crowded place possible, what
actually is a market? No. This lorry certainly just is one of these Saudi
propaganda fairy tales. 28.6.2016 – Dr. Karim Update https://twitter.com/StopDestroYemen/status/748014704010887169

– AAP / AP Saudi-led airstrike kills 25 in Yemen
An airstrike by a Saudi-led coalition targeting
Shi'ite rebels in Yemen's southern province of Taiz
killed 25 people - 15 fighters and 10 civilians. Tuesday's
airstrike also wounded eight civilians, officials said. Most of the victims
were shoppers or storekeepers in the area that was hit, a commercial road
that lies between two villages. The
Taiz attack came amid an uptick in coalition
airstrikes on Monday night and early Tuesday, the officials said, adding that
the fighting also raged east of the capital, Sanaa. http://www.news.com.au/world/breaking-news/is-bombings-in-yemen-kill-38/news-story/2ffa7d4f168ae5401a304fa85d9a2bfe

Comment:
How the division between “fighters” and civilians can be achieved? They wear
equal clothing, a great part of Yemeni men is
wearing a gun when in the street – so what? This sounds like propaganda, the
report itself stating that “most of the victims were shoppers or
storekeepers” – and no “fighters”. Again, that looks like labeling the
victims as “fighters” to justify one’s own bombings. 28.6.2016
– Press TV Iran Saudi
airstrikes leave 20 Yemeni civilians dead despite truce At least 20 civilians have been killed as Saudi
warplanes bombed Yemen’s Ta’izz Province in
violation of a UN-brokered ceasefire. Saudi
jets targeted a petrol bomb in Hayfan district of
the southwestern province of Ta’izz early on
Tuesday, leaving at least 20 civilians dead and 15 others injured, Yemen’s
al-Masirah television reported. Some
Yemeni media outlets have put the number of those killed at 35. Comment:
The Iranian source labels the victims as “civilians”, what certainly is more
probable, unless there come up clear proofs of who of them really is a
(Houthi) fighter.
An
März in Mastaba, wo solche
A burned
